You can travel the world over without ever finding anything close to the breathtaking landscape nestled between the west coast of Norway and the towering mountains inland.

The landscape of Fjord Norway slowly emerged from the sea as the vast glacier made its gradual retreat six thousand years ago. The signs of this great creative process are all around.

In May and early June, Fjord Norway is in full splendour. The snow still stretches its white arms almost down to the fjord side, and it is often difficult to distinguish between the actual landscape and its mirror image in the calm fjord waters.
