Sea water enters openings in the rock and disappears. It travels underground and finally emerges at Melissani near the village of Vlachata (Karavomilos).  When visiting Greece you absolutely must: Lixouri is the Kephallonia's second largest town. You will admire its marvellous beaches.  When visiting Greece you absolutely must: See Fiscardo, the Kephallonia's harbor that has kept its local color.
